ABOUT ME:
My name is Karen Pollock and I have been a registered Speech-Language Pathologist (S-LP) in Alberta since 1999. I started my career with Alberta Health Services, working with adults in hospital as well a children in school from kindergarten to grade 12. I transitioned to private practice in 2007. Being in private practice has been a dream come true. It has afforded me the ability to work closely with my clients; explore areas of special interest; and collaborate with professionals who share my passion for helping people improve their health by breathing, eating and speaking easier.
Outside of work I am a mother to a wonderful son, a former U of A athlete and ongoing sport enthusiast, and a lifelong social butterfly. Although I have to work to achieve a healthy work/life balance like everyone else, my personal life is fuelled by the satisfaction I feel in working with my amazing clients and colleagues.
Mission.
I am dedicated to providing client-centred services involving open communication that allows clients to have a say in the best course of treatment.
Vision.
I am striving to educate and support medical, dental and bodywork professionals as they seek to learn more about how oral and facial health are important to overall health.
